Overview Carey joins Pinnacle with more than 14 years of healthcare experience. Serving in a financial analysis role, she directly supports the Compensation Valuation Division. Her primary focus is FMV determinations that fall under a broad set of arrangements including employment, on-call coverage, administrative/management services, and other professional service relationships.
Leveraging her background and expertise in coding and other areas of healthcare, she has a broad comprehension of the link between compensation, productivity, and reimbursement. This depth of understanding allows for a detailed and robust analyses providing more actionable information.
Prior to Pinnacle, Carey worked for DispatchHealth in Denver. As Senior Manager of Revenue Cycle Management, she built the revenue team/department including credentialing, coding, billing, accounts receivable and reporting functions. Her direct efforts increased RCM headcount by more than 800% in under two years.
Carey earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Drake University in Des Moines and has been a certified professional coder for more than 10 years. Her professional development, additional certifications and technical proficiency further compliment her healthcare experience and education.
