Michaela brings a wealth of healthcare finance and management expertise to Pinnacle as a team-oriented leader responsible for department development, management, recruitment, and training. She acquired her depth of understanding and broad knowledge base over the past decade serving in multiple finance and management roles at a leading academic medical center and a nationally ranked community hospital. Developing complex and comprehensive financial analyses of hospital and service line operations, Michaela provided corporate leadership with the information and financial oversight they needed for ongoing decision making and long-range strategic planning. She is highly proficient with annual budgeting, forecasting, month-end close process, variance analysis, trend identification, labor productivity development, Charge Description Master (CDM) pricing, outpatient coding, and service line reporting.

Prior to Pinnacle, Michaela was responsible for developing and managing the Decision Support Team at UCHealth in Denver, Colorado where she recruited, hired and trained financial analysts as she built out her internal team. Prior to this role, Michaela was a Senior Financial Analyst at UCHealth and began her professional career as a Financial Analyst at Denver Health. Michaela holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Alabama and a BA in Business Administration from Southern Arkansas University. She is also a Certified Professional Coder and a Certified Healthcare Professional.
