With more than 45 years of healthcare business experience, John brings tremendous expertise to Pinnacle as a Partner and member of the leadership team. As a leading expert in physician practice management, he has proven success in a wide range of physician practice models, joint ventures, business start-ups and integrated delivery systems across multiple specialties.

Providing real-world solutions to everyday practice, John has been involved on the ground floor/early phases of multiple delivery models including not-for-profit and community-based care, private practice, independent practice associations, group practice without walls, payer-sponsored physician integrated networks, and hospital/health system employed groups.

John’s track record speaks for itself as one of the most accomplished organizational development experts in the industry. Examples include creating a PEO to provide leased staff to over 125 physicians, start-up of an MSO for 150 employed physicians with a national health insurer, and the successful integration of hospital-employed groups in six different geographic markets.

As a critical thinker and adept negotiator with extensive knowledge of healthcare operations and regulations, John has a demonstrated capacity to develop and retain strong and effective management teams while helping clients streamline operations to improve productivity, enhance revenue and increase operational efficiencies.

John has a strong commitment to mission-based and patient-centric organizations and has extensive experience in community organizing, fundraising, board development, accreditation consulting and post-graduate teaching. Over his career, he has served in various consulting roles for accreditation entities, federal and local grant block programs, and publicly traded healthcare entities. He has also served as adjunct faculty of ambulatory care services for two Masters of Health Administration programs. John received his BA in Biological Sciences and MPH from Indiana University.
