Jessica serves as a Consultant whose areas of expertise includes professional-fee auditing and coding in the following specialties: OBGYN, orthopedics, maternal-fetal medicine, pediatrics, dermatology, cardiology, neurology, pain management, durable medical equipment, family practice, and internal medicine. Jessica works with versatility and flexibility within a constantly changing environment. She has also contributed to the Pinnacle Perspective on several occasions regarding various professional-fee auditing and coding topics. Prior to earning her certification as a coder, Jessica provided administrative and management support to Pinnacle.
Most recently, Jessica has been working with clients that specialize in dermatology and neurology. She assists these clients by aiding in project management and her duties include coding and denials resolution as well as client communication. She searches for missing documentation, coordinates and performs provider education, performs due-diligence reviews, and offers recommendations to improve client professional-fee coding.
When Jessica began her professional career, she worked in banking where she focused on providing excellent customer service to her clients. Her position required extreme organization and daily multi-tasking. She has successfully worked both independently and as part of a team.
Jessica earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Ethics from Mid-America Christian University and her Associate Degree in Diversified Studies from Oklahoma City Community College. Jessica is a Certified Professional Coder, Certified Obstetrics Gynecology Coder, and Certified Orthopedic Surgery Coder through the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC).
