David brings over 27 years of experience in compliance, auditing, physician education, coding and reimbursement, and accounts receivable / collections management. His expertise spans multi-specialty workflow analysis, charge capture, and practice coding and documentation reviews. Throughout his career, David has provided project management and strategic guidance across a variety of coding and compliance engagements, including audit and analysis, supplemental coding projects, EHR implementation and optimization and the development of policies, procedures, and compliance plans.
Earlier in his career, David served as a Business Services Operations Manager where he oversaw more than 70 full-time employees and managed the daily operations of coding, billing, insurance, patient accounts, and revenue cycle activities. His leadership experience and comprehensive operational insight enable him to bridge the gap between compliance strategy and day-to-day execution. David has developed and evaluated coding compliance, regulatory, billing, coding, and documentation training for multiple specialties. In addition, David has presented at numerous symposiums, conferences, and academic programs on topics related to coding and revenue integrity.
