Overview Jessica brings more than 25 years of medical coding experience to Pinnacle and currently focuses on audits and physician education. Leveraging her background, she conducts audits of physician coding in the ReviewMate audit application system for a wide variety of specialties. Given her depth of knowledge and experience developing educational tools and curriculum, Jessica is also an expert instructor and mentor who conducts online physician training with individual providers and other medical professionals/teams.
Prior to Pinnacle, Jessica served in a wide variety of leadership/management roles including director of compliance, director of auditing, coding and auditing manager, coding auditor, and medical coder across multiple specialties. Her impressive background and broad expertise extends beyond medical coding to include medical practice management where she was responsible for patient registration/records, security/privacy/compliance, billing/collections and financial reporting.
Jessica’s certifications include AAPC Certified Procedural Coder (CPC), AHIMA Approved ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS Trainer, AAPC Certified Emergency Department Coder (CEDC), AHIMA Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), and AAPC Certified Professional Compliance Office (CPCO). Her expertise includes ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding, CPT coding, and HCPCs coding; 2021 Office and Outpatient E/M guidelines. Additionally, Jessica is well versed across all major EMR/billing/coding applications from Allscripts to WoundExpert.
